Craig Steele - PSMFC (Fisheries Research Geneticist)
Craig Steele joined the Eagle Fish Genetics Lab as a Research Biologist in 2011 to oversee the parentage-based tagging program for IDFG which genetically marks all anadromous fish of hatchery-origin in the Snake River basin. Recently, he changed job duties to oversee the genetics work associated with the Redfish Lake sockeye salmon broodstock program and monitoring of integrated hatchery Chinook Salmon programs at McCall, Pahsimeroi, and Sawtooth hatcheries. In his free time, you’ll find him catching bugs with his son, bird watching, and coaxing his collection of tropical plants to grow.
