Amanda Boone - PSMFC (Fisheries Genetics Technician/Lab Manager)
Amanda started at the EFGL as a lab technician genotyping and analyzing microsatellite data for the Redfish Lake Sockeye Salmon Program. Amanda now works as the lab manager doing a little bit of everything (SNPs, uSats) on a variety of fish species. Amanda spends her time away from work doing crafts, reading, fishing, hunting and hiking. Her passion is her pups. She has a Catahoula named Finnegon, a charcoal lab named Meena and a Chinese Crested named Peewee (he is counted as ¼ dog). She volunteers for the Wyakin Warrior Foundation as a mentor for disabled veterans during their college career. Education B.S., Biology, Boise State University, 2005.
